Instrumentation control unarmored-armored cable. HR PVC/ XLPE Insulated, non screen/collective, screen armored/unarmored ST1/ST2/FR/FRLS/ZHFR. Used in Indoor and outdoor insulation within industrial process plants and for controls power supply between instruments and process equipment.
Unarmored control cable are generally indoor use and armored cable are indoor as well as outdoor, in dry and wet locations on racks, trays in conduit etc. armored cables are suitable for direct burial. Selection of controls depends on instruments and process equipment, length between control room and process plants, surrounded temperature etc.

Construction
- Conductor:
- Annealed Electrolytic Plain/ Tinned Multi stranded copper conductor.
- Insulation:
- Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) HR-Grade
- Colour code:
- 2 Core: Red/Black
- 3 Core: Red/Black/Green
- 4 Core: Red/Yellow/Blue/Black
- 5 Core and above: White insulation with numbers for identification
- Collective screen (application for control cables with shielding):
- Aluminium Mylar tape along with 0.50sq mm drain wire
- Inner sheath:
- PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) black
- Armored:
- G.I. wire of 0.90mm/1.40mm/4mm X 0.80mm
- Outer sheath:
- PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), Type: ST2, FR or FRLS
- Voltage Grade:
- 300V/600V/ 1100V as per requirement of customer.
